Thing 1
I am a curious person by nature! Undertaking this course has been an exciting adventure! If I am honest, I suppose the most challenging thing for me in considering the Habits of a Life Long Learner is Habit #2. I have found life to be hectic since the start of school and finding time to devote to this course has been difficult. Now that I have begun, I am encouraged and delighted by what is in store for me as a learner. Creating my own learning toolbox is the most important habit for me in considering the Habits of a Life Long Learner. Since I have come to this task late, I have the benefit of hearing what the other learners think. Many folks spoke of having “disorganized tool boxes” or “unused tools” and I suppose I would fall into these categories. I would add the desire to better utilize my creative tools in order to benefit my students. I mentioned at the beginning of this post that I am a curious person and that brings me to what I find easiest about the Habits of a Life Long Learner number seven and a half. Play is such an natural part of curiosity. I look forward to many hours of playful discovery!

Thanks for your comment and support. The fact that you are a “curious” person is extremely evident in your work. I know of no one who is more eager to learn new things and put them to use effectively in the classroom. Taking this course with everyday colleagues is, to me, the best way to learn. It has brought out my (slightly) competitive nature – I don’t want to be the last one to finish! But I also think it will be good to have colleagues as sounding boards for new ideas. I’m looking forward to sharing what we learn with other class participants, especially as the material moves farther out of my comfort zone. Now I must branch out and comment on blogs from teachers at other schools.
