Well, I did indulge you and listened to Sir Ken Robinson's talk. Amazing, wasn't it? I would love to have him come to our school and help us continue to encourage those creative kids we know we have. I think a lot of what he says is true. It reminds me of that book we talked about last year, "Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future". I wonder sometimes, when I give a quiz or force children to stay focused on the task I want them to do, if I am one of those people responsible for killing the creativity they came into the world with. I hope some of the things I learn in this class will help me in this area.

Thanks for your comment and support. The fact that you are a "curious" person is extremely evident in your work. I know of no one who is more eager to learn new things and put them to use effectively in the classroom. Taking this course with everyday colleagues is, to me, the best way to learn. It has brought out my (slightly) competitive nature - I don't want to be the last one to finish! But I also think it will be good to have colleagues as sounding boards for new ideas. I'm looking forward to sharing what we learn with other class participants, especially as the material moves farther out of my comfort zone. Now I must branch out and comment on blogs from teachers at other schools.
